The Dunwoody Nature Center and Atlanta Audubon Society are teaming up to host several activities for the annual Great Backyard Bird Count on Friday, February 17th. We will be offering classes and make a bird feeder workshop for adults and children. The classes will feature information about species identification, the importance of the bird count, how to do basic bird observations, and how to correctly tally into the Great Backyard Bird Count website. The classes will be from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m., come to whichever class works with your schedule. In addition to the classes, we will be offering a drop-in style Make Your Own Bird Feeder Workshop from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Please pre-register for the classes and workshops by emailing Jackie Sherry at jackie@dunwoodynature.org or by calling 770-394-3322.
