Dunwoody's Pride on Parade Day

Georgia’s largest Independence Day Parade kicked off at 9 a.m. on July 4, 2025, with thousands lining Mount Vernon Road and Dunwoody Village. Over 2,500 participants consisting of marching bands, vintage cars, neighborhood floats, and costumed performers traveled the 2.7-mile route. The event drew an estimated 35,000 spectators, creating a vibrant display of red, white, and blue throughout the community.

Post-Parade Festival & Family Fun

After the procession concluded in Dunwoody Village, families gravitated toward the festival area near Walgreens. Under a cluster of white tents, visitors enjoyed a full day of entertainment, including lawn games, community booths, and local food classics. Rotary Club’s famous hot dog stand and Boy Scout Troop 266’s barbecue plates were exciting highlights. The local sponsors also engaged attendees with interactive games, branded giveaways, and shaded seating which created the perfect mix of celebration and community connection.

Community Champions & Proud Partners

This year’s Grand Marshal was celebrated coach Mike Nash who is a retiring athletic director and long-time football coach at Dunwoody High School. He is recognized for his decades of dedication to student-athletes and the broader community. The parade was presented by the Dunwoody Homeowners Association and The Reporter, supported by Platinum sponsor Big Play Entertainment, and backed by Gold-level partners like Discover Dunwoody, the City of Dunwoody, EEP Events, Dinowoody, and Northside Hospital as well as many others at varied sponsorship levels. Their collective commitment helped bring this beloved hometown tradition to life in full swing.
