Jackson’s journey into the film industry began in 1996 as a Production Assistant on the ABC miniseries “The Shining.” From there, he pursued a degree in Broadcast Journalism and TV Production, anchored his campus news, and launched his own company producing local commercials and television content. That entrepreneurial experience laid the foundation for his transition into full-time film work, where he found his calling as a Production Travel Coordinator.

In this role, Jackson manages complex travel logistics for major productions, coordinating everything from flights and hotel blocks to ground transportation and charter jets. He has worked with studios including Marvel, Disney, Warner Bros., DC Studios, and Apple, supporting projects such as “The Suicide Squad,” “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3,” “Fly Me to the Moon,” and “Superman.” His attention to detail and ability to navigate fast-moving schedules have made him a trusted name among top production teams.

While Jackson often leads these efforts as the sole travel coordinator on a show, the work he does is made possible by a strong network of collaborators. Industry professionals like Nadia Paine and Tom Carson continue to bring him onto projects, knowing they can rely on his professionalism and experience. His assistant, Anissa Ramirez, plays a key role by maintaining schedules, booking transportation, and tracking constant updates with efficiency and care.

Jackson’s work also depends on vital partnerships with individuals like Allie Sheahan and Kaitlin Buck, who help manage large-scale hotel accommodations, and assistant directors such as Katy Galow, who provide timely updates on cast needs. His network of travel agents and hotel brokers responds around the clock to shifting production demands, while on-the-ground hotel contacts ensure check-ins and last-minute changes are handled with ease.

One of his longest-running professional relationships is with Tiffany Cherry of Hertz Entertainment Atlanta. For more than eight years, Tiffany and her team have helped Jackson deliver reliable transportation under the high-pressure demands of film production, always with urgency and understanding

Reflecting on the recognition, Jackson shared, “Coordinating production travel is fast, detailed, and always changing! I love being part of the behind-the-scenes story and I’m incredibly grateful for the amazing team supporting me to make it all happen. This award honors my work as well as theirs.”

Behind all of this is Jackson’s personal support system, his family. Their shared passion for film has created meaningful memories, including a recent trip to Cleveland, where his daughter appeared as an extra during the filming of “Superman.” These experiences remind Jackson why he does the work and for whom he’s doing it.

Coordinating travel in the entertainment industry requires strong organization, flexibility, and a team-oriented mindset. Jackson brings all of that and more to every production he supports. His consistent professionalism and ability to navigate challenges make him a reliable asset. For these reasons, we are pleased to recognize Jackson Giles as the Distinguished Production Associate for Quarter 2 of 20250.
