Discover Dunwoody Highlights Alli Sheahan
The Monthly Distinguished Production Associate for November
Discover Dunwoody proudly recognizes Alli Sheahan as the November recipient of the Distinguished Production Associate Recognition Program, which honors the hardworking professionals who keep film and television productions running smoothly behind the scenes. This program celebrates the creativity and dedication that drive Georgia’s thriving entertainment industry.
Alli Sheahan has been drawn to film and television for as long as she can remember. Growing up in the Marietta/Roswell area, she found her passion for storytelling while performing in school and community theater. Those early experiences taught her how entertainment can bring people together and inspired her to pursue a creative path. It wasn’t until college, however, that she realized she wanted to make a career out of it. As a student at the University of Miami’s School of Communication, she began as a broadcast journalism major before discovering that screenwriting was where her true passion lay. The timing of that decision could not have been better. By the time she graduated, Georgia’s film industry was thriving, motivating her to return home rather than move to Los Angeles and begin building her career right where the action was growing fastest.
Now an accomplished Production Coordinator, Alli has contributed to a variety of projects ranging from indie films to blockbuster franchises. Her credits include “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3,” “The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special,” “Gran Turismo,” “Superman,” and “Man of Tomorrow.” In recent years, her work has taken her both across Georgia and around the world. At Trilith Studios in Fayetteville, she has collaborated closely with local teams on large-scale productions. She also spent time overseas working on international projects in Hungary, Germany, Austria, Slovakia, the United Arab Emirates, and Japan. These experiences not only expanded her skill set but also strengthened her appreciation for the global teamwork that defines filmmaking.
One of her proudest accomplishments was helping coordinate a company move across five countries during the production of “Gran Turismo,” a complex and rewarding challenge that showcased her problem-solving and communication abilities. Stepping into the role of Production Coordinator marked another major milestone, allowing her to take on greater responsibility and play an even larger part in the success of each production.
Alli is passionate about encouraging more young women to pursue careers in production. She finds fulfillment in the demanding yet rewarding nature of the job and in the sense of unity that comes from working toward a shared creative vision. Looking ahead, she plans to continue growing her career in Atlanta’s vibrant film community and hopes to one day fulfill a long-time goal of working on a romantic comedy.
Discover Dunwoody congratulates Alli Sheahan on this well-deserved honor and celebrates her continued impact on Georgia’s thriving film industry.
