How Simply Food Trucks Went From Atlanta to Nationwide Events
From Dunwoody to food truck events across the country
Paige Nathan, founder of Simply Food Trucks, joins Dunwoody Dialogues to share how a love of food, events and networking grew into a nationwide food truck booking business. Ten years later, she is still focused on what started it all: bringing people together through great food.
What does it take to coordinate food trucks for hundreds or even thousands of guests? Paige Nathan shares the story behind Simply Food Trucks, the logistics of large-scale events and what she has learned after 10 years in business.
Making Food Truck Events Simple
Paige Nathan does not drive a food truck. As she joked during the interview, you probably would not want her to. Instead, she handles everything happening behind the scenes.
Simply Food Trucks connects companies, brands and event planners with food trucks across the country, helping manage everything from finding the right vendors and curating menus to planning how hundreds or even thousands of guests will actually get fed.
“My superpower is networking.”
That ability to connect people helped Paige grow the business from booking local Atlanta events to coordinating food truck experiences nationwide. Work connected to Home Depot grand openings became one of the opportunities that helped Simply Food Trucks expand beyond Atlanta.
The Details Behind a Great Food Truck Event
A food truck event may look simple to the guest, but Paige says the work starts long before anyone gets in line. For larger events, that can mean shortening menus, planning for dietary needs and making sure food is prepared quickly enough to serve thousands of people.
“The devil’s in the details.”
Paige shared one example involving 5,000 guests where the food trucks had to prepare food ahead of time because cooking every order on demand simply would not have worked. It is that kind of planning that turns a group of food trucks into a full event experience.
10 Years of Simply Food Trucks
Simply Food Trucks is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2026, and giving back remains an important part of the business. Through Simply Giving, Paige supports organizations that help people throughout the food and hospitality industry.
This year, that includes a collaboration with King of Pops on the Giving Pop, an Orange Cream pop that supports Giving Kitchen with every purchase.
Advice From 10 Years in Business
After a decade as an entrepreneur, Paige’s advice is refreshingly simple: learn from other people and do not be afraid to get things wrong along the way.
“Don’t be afraid to make mistakes. That’s how you learn.”
For Paige, the business ultimately brings together two things she has always loved: people and food.
