Dunwoody is proud to present its 8th Annual Day of Service on Monday, January 15, offering various opportunities for residents to come together and make a positive impact. Here's your chance to honor Dr. King's legacy by participating in volunteer projects that contribute to the betterment of our community.

 

Tree Planting with Trees Atlanta

Location: Brook Run Park near the soccer field (4664 N. Peachtree Rd, Dunwoody, GA 30338).

Project Time: 9 am - 12 pm.

Details: Contribute to the sustainability of our urban forest by planting 125 trees in Brook Run Park. No green thumb required, just a willingness to make a lasting impact. Click here to register.

 

Daffodil Planting with The Daffodil Project

Location: Brook Run Park Arboretum Pavilion (2341 Peeler Rd).

Project Time: 9 am - 12 pm.

Cleanup at Brook Run Community Garden

Location: Brook Run Community Garden, 4770 N. Peachtree Rd.

Project Time: 9 am - 12 pm.

Details: Roll up your sleeves and help prepare the Dunwoody Community Garden and Orchard for the upcoming growing season. No prior gardening experience is necessary. Just bring work gloves, wear sturdy shoes, and join us for a morning of community care. Click here to register.

 

Cleanup at Woodall Cemetery

Location: 5290 Ashley Trace, Dunwoody, GA 30360.

Project Time: 9 am - 12 pm.

Details: Join a select group of 10 adult volunteers to clean up Woodall Cemetery. Please bring essential tools, and a representative from Dunwoody Preservation Trust will guide the group to the location. Click here to register under the MLK Day of Service tab.

 

Cleanup at Spruill Center for the Arts

Location: 5339 Chamblee Dunwoody Rd.

Project Time: 10 am - 3 pm.

Details: Help give the downstairs hallway at the Spruill Center for the Arts a fresh start in 2024. Engage in a community art project by painting ceiling tiles for the education center's upstairs hallway. Join us as we enhance the artistic ambiance of our education center. Blood Drive with LifeSouth

Location: 4770 N. Peachtree Rd.

Blood Drive Time: 9 am - 12 pm.

Details: Partnering with LifeSouth, Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Dunwoody Atlanta Chapter will host a blood drive to support the community and sickle cell patients. The Blood Mobile will be open at Brook Run Park, and blood donations are encouraged at the LifeSouth Dunwoody Center throughout January. Click here to register.
