The Monthly Distinguished Production Associate for March
The magic of film and television goes beyond what we see on screen. Behind every production, dedicated professionals like Kalynn Littleton ensure everything runs smoothly. As Discover Dunwoody’s March recipient of the Distinguished Production Associate Recognition Program, Kalynn embodies the dedication, adaptability, and passion that make productions possible.
Kalynn’s journey into the film industry began in hospitality at The Ritz-Carlton, where she refined her skills as a Front Desk Agent, Rooms Controller, and later, a Business/Entertainment/Production Travel Sales Coordinator. This role introduced her to clients in the entertainment industry, including travel coordinator Ashley Saunders, who recognized her potential. In 2017, Kalynn joined her first film project, “Rampage,” as a Travel Assistant. She quickly realized how well her hospitality expertise translated into production travel coordination, allowing her to manage complex logistics, problem-solve under pressure, and maintain exceptional service.
Following her work on “Venom,” Kalynn took a break to build a tiny house with her wife, Audrey, before returning full-time as a Travel Coordinator. She has since worked on major productions across the globe, including in Rome, Abu Dhabi, and Boston, before settling into back-to-back projects in Georgia. Over the past three years, Kalynn has collaborated with top-tier studios like Marvel, FX, Netflix, Blumhouse TV, HBO, and Live Nation. Her impressive filmography includes “Reservation Dogs” (Season 1), “She-Hulk,” “The Out-Laws,” “Echo,” “The Bondsman,” and “Peacemaker” (Season 2). Each project presents new challenges—new teams, evolving technology, and different studio procedures—but Kalynn embraces them, continually refining her skills and adapting to the ever-changing industry.
Beyond her professional success, Kalynn prioritizes maintaining a work-life balance in an industry that demands constant attention. She has competed in CrossFit competitions and, more recently, shifted her focus to triathlons. In the past year, she has completed two Olympic-distance triathlons and a 70.3 Ironman race, with another scheduled for May 2025.
As her current production wraps in March, Kalynn is actively seeking her next opportunity. She finds production travel coordination both exciting and rewarding, thriving in its fast-paced nature. She looks forward to continuing her career and remains optimistic that the industry’s momentum will continue to grow, providing more opportunities for skilled professionals like herself.
