Parade Route and Times

The 2.7-mile parade route kicks off at 9:00 a.m. sharp from the intersection of Mount Vernon Road and Jett Ferry Road. From there, the procession travels west on Mount Vernon to Dunwoody Village, turns right onto Dunwoody Village Parkway, loops around, and finishes near Steak & Grace and First Citizens Bank.

Walking the full route takes about one hour, so get there early to catch all the fun from start to finish!

Best Spots to Watch

Spectators are encouraged to set up along Mount Vernon Road (west of Jett Ferry) and around Dunwoody Village Parkway. For safety and logistics, viewing won’t be allowed on the east side of Jett Ferry due to parade staging. Additionally, to keep everyone safe, Mount Vernon Road between Jett Ferry and Dunwoody Village will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Plan your travel accordingly and allow extra time for parking and walking to your spot!

Pro tip: Bring chairs, water, portable fans, and plenty of red, white, and blue spirit!

Who Makes it Possible

This year’s Grand Marshal is Mike Nash, the outgoing Dunwoody High School football coach and athletic director, who has made a lasting impact on countless students and the Dunwoody community. The event is hosted by the Dunwoody Homeowners Association and The Reporter Newspapers, and proudly sponsored by the City of Dunwoody, Discover Dunwoody, EEP Events, Big Play Entertainment, and NFA Burger.

Whether you’re a longtime local or visiting for the holiday weekend, Dunwoody’s 4th of July Parade is a can’t-miss celebration of community, tradition, and American pride. We’ll see you on the parade route! Don’t forget your stars and stripes!
