The Assembly Bandshell is the newest addition to Assembly Atlanta, the 135-acre film and TV production campus in Doraville that has made Dunwoody a favorite home base for cast, crew, and visitors alike.

Colloquially called the Pringle for its upside-down, chip-shaped roofline, the structure is North America's longest-bending active timber gridshell. The roughly 4,000-square-foot venue is designed to host live music, film screenings, cultural events, and community gatherings, and it anchors a public greenspace just outside the soundstages.

Assembly Atlanta's growth is part of why Georgia's production scene keeps expanding.

Dunwoody sits just above Atlanta, and getting to Assembly Studios Atlanta is an easy add-on to any stay in the city. By car, it is about a 12-minute drive down I-285 from Dunwoody's hotel corridor.

Prefer to skip the drive? MARTA runs straight there: the Doraville station sits directly across the street from the Assembly campus, making it one of the more transit-friendly Atlanta concert venues for visitors without a car.

If you’re planning on visiting the Assembly Studios Bandshell, make it a full night out. Here is just the surface of what Dunwoody can offer:

  • Shopping and gathering: High Street and Ashford Lane both offer a walkable mix of shopping, dining, and outdoor gathering space if you want to turn the evening into a longer outing. Perimeter Mall is also a short walk away from Dunwoody’s MARTA station!
  • Traveling with kids: Big Play Entertainment rounds things out with bowling, laser tag, mini golf, and an arcade under one roof.

Whichever way you spend the evening, you'll be minutes from one of the newest Atlanta event venues.

The bandshell's first season got off to a fitting start. In June, it hosted watch parties for three FIFA World Cup 2026 matches: Uruguay vs. Spain, Panama vs. England, and Colombia vs. Portugal, on a stage floor reported to be roughly the size of the Fox Theatre's.

There’s a full slate of assembly bandshell events coming soon, including live music, film screenings, and community gatherings!

The only thing better than checking out the new Assembly Studios Bandshell is continuing the fun all weekend. Dunwoody's hotel lineup along the Perimeter puts you minutes from Assembly Studios and close to shopping, dining, and plenty of parks.
