Travel through time and around the world by visiting the leading art museum in the Southeast. With 12,000 pieces of old and contemporary art from different countries everyone will find something that interests them. The High is the only major museum in North America that contains an exhibit displaying folk and self-taught art. However, if that is not your style there is also American, European, and Decorative art exhibits. If none of those are of your interest there is also a modern and contemporary exhibit featuring the work of Alex Katz, Ellsworth Kelly, and Gerhard Richter. The museum also displays 4,500 prints if you prefer photography. The High museum features traveling exhibits or temporary exhibits that are always changing so be sure to check out which exhibits are displayed when you are planning a visit!
