An Atlanta visit isn't complete without experiencing the official memorial of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The King Center is home to the largest source materials on Dr. King and the American Civil Rights Movement in the world, his birth home, his grave, bookstore, and a resource center. It is a fun learning experience of Martin Luther King’s life along with other activists such as Rosa Parks and Mohandas Gandhi, who inspired King’s peaceful leadership. You can find over 200 oral history interviews with civil right activists and with friends, teachers, and family of Dr. King. Hours of Operation: Monday-Sunday: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
