Create Dunwoody America 250 Puzzle Project

Create Dunwoody has launched the America 250 Community Puzzle Project, a community-wide initiative designed to bring people together around tables at local businesses and gathering spaces throughout Dunwoody. Hosted at restaurants, shops, office waiting rooms, and other community spaces, the project encourages community members, families, friends, and visitors to slow down, connect with one another, and celebrate America’s 250th anniversary.

The project places custom 500-piece puzzles at participating locations, inviting people to stop by and add a few pieces whenever the businesses are open. The first puzzle features a map of the Greater Dunwoody Village area and includes the logos of participating businesses. Create Dunwoody is also donating puzzles to senior living centers like Berman Commons and hopes to expand the project with additional puzzles highlighting other areas, landmarks, and businesses throughout the city.

“As we commemorate 250 years of America, this project reminds us that community is built one conversation at a time,” said Rosemary Watts, Executive Director of Create Dunwoody. “Whether someone spends five minutes or an hour working on a puzzle, they are participating in something larger by bringing people together, fostering connections, and reflecting on what freedom, belonging, and community mean in our daily lives.”

The America 250 Community Puzzle Project is part of Create Dunwoody’s ongoing efforts to strengthen community through creative placemaking, public engagement, and experiences that encourage people to connect with one another.
