Bar & Bat Mitzvahs

Your young one is becoming an adult—mazel tov! We’re here to make planning this special life event easy and affordable (college is just around the corner, after all).

Dunwoody boasts several event spaces to host your child’s bar or bat mitzvah, including the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta, one of the nation’s largest Jewish community centers, our fantastic hotels which offer the perfect setting for your celebration or event outdoor spaces to will make this a memorable open-air event.

We currently boast nine welcoming hotels all located in Perimeter Center and within walking distance to metro Atlanta’s top retailers, restaurants, and activities including the Georgia Aquarium, the World of Coca-Cola, and Ponce City Market. Dunwoody’s three largest hotel properties include the Crowne Plaza Atlanta Perimeter at Ravinia, Atlanta Marriott Perimeter Center, and Le Meridien Atlanta Perimeter Center. These premier properties offer event spaces ranging from 1200 sq. ft. to 12,000 sq. ft., as well as fully equipped kitchens and/or partnerships with local caterers to assist with meal prep and planning.

With Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL) just 35 minutes away plus access to two MARTA stations, friends and family can get in and out of Dunwoody quickly and easily. Once here, our family-friendly city offers value-added convenience with complimentary shuttles to MARTA and around the Perimeter Center area.

As the official tourism partner to the City of Dunwoody, Discover Dunwoody offers the following complimentary services for your event: connect you to hotel-specific sales teams, arrange and coordinate site visits (please note that advance notice is requested), help coordinating dining, events, and attractions, and free group welcome bags (one bag per guest room booking) when you book your travel accommodations through the Discover Dunwoody office.

If you’re driving in from the west, we suggest taking I-75 and then hopping onto I-285; from the south, use highway 19; from the east or the north, take highways 140 or 141. Dunwoody is conveniently accessible via I-285, which circles Metro Atlanta and connects you to Interstates 75, 85, and 20.
