The city of Dunwoody is gearing up for its sixth annual Holiday Lights celebration with a fresh, interstellar twist. This beloved community gathering, presented by Dunwoody Parks and Recreation, promises to transform Brook Run Park into a Cosmic Wonderland starting December 2. As reported by an official statement, the event launches from 4 to 7 p.m., with the official switch-on set to take place at 6 p.m. by the members of the Dunwoody City Council.
Dunwoody's Holiday Lights has rapidly evolved into a seasonal draw card, with nearly 48,000 visitors expected to walk through its twinkling displays each year. With the theme of Cosmic Wonderland for 2025, attendees can anticipate a spread of over 100,000 lights that include eight giant, illuminated planets, and an experience heightened by glow-in-the-dark seesaws and a life-sized UFO photo opportunity. As per The City of Dunwoody, Mayor Pro Tem Tom Lambert heralded the event, describing it as "one of the many reasons we proudly call Dunwoody your Holiday Headquarters."
Children and families will enjoy features such as the 30-foot Mega Tree pulsating with more than 4,800 lights to the rhythm of holiday tunes, constructing a 10-minute show that dances against the night. Nearby, giant illuminated snow globes offer inviting seating for guests looking to absorb the vista.
