Julie Foster Straw is the Executive Director of RE:Imagine ATL, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering the next generation of storytellers by providing young people with opportunities and resources in film and digital media.
With a deep commitment to youth development and creative industries, Julie has led the organization’s efforts to bridge the gap between education and entertainment, ensuring that young creators from underrepresented communities have access to the tools they need to succeed. Her leadership has positioned RE:Imagine ATL as a significant player in Atlanta’s growing media ecosystem, fostering partnerships with key industry stakeholders.
Julie holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Emory University and has a diverse background in program development, nonprofit management, and health education. Prior to joining RE:Imagine ATL, she held various leadership roles in public health and youth-focused organizations, where she developed a strong track record of community engagement and advocacy. Her ability to leverage her public health expertise with her passion for storytelling has allowed her to drive impactful programs that focus on both skill-building and personal growth for young people.
