1. Groovin’ on the Green Concert Series at Brook Run Park

Held the second Saturday of each month through October, Groovin' on the Green at Brook Run Park is a free live music series that's dog-friendly, kid-friendly, and picnic-friendly.

Bring your chairs, your snacks, or grab dinner from one of the featured food trucks. The amphitheater is located along the Dunwoody Trailway, so riding bikes is encouraged.

2. Splash Pad at Two Bridges Park

Located in the Perimeter area, Two Bridges Park is home to Dunwoody’s first splash pad. This water wonderland runs from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily through September 28 and is completely free to use. Hit the magic button and watch your kiddo go wild for 30 minutes of splashing.

Kick off the season on May 30 at 10:30 a.m. with free King of Pops and giveaways during the Summer Splash Pad Opening Day.

3. Pics in the Park at Pernoshal Park

There’s nothing better than a movie under the stars. Pics in the Park returns this summer with classic flicks, free popcorn and candy, and space to spread out and enjoy.

4. Free First Saturday at Dunwoody Nature Center

Every first Saturday of the month, DUNWOODY NATURE CENTER hosts a themed, free family-friendly program.
June 7: Beautiful Bees

  • Time: 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
  • Activities include crafts, a nature walk, and hands-on learning about pollinators

5. Kids Corner at Politan Row

Every Saturday, POLITAN ROW at Ashford Lane hosts a free Kids Corner inside its food hall with rotating activities, crafts, and playtime fun. While the kids stay busy, you can enjoy a coffee or snack from one of the many food vendors onsite.

6. Operation Brain Freeze: Get Spotted, Get Ice Cream

Dunwoody Police are back with the coolest campaign in town: Operation Brain Freeze. If your child is spotted wearing a helmet while riding their bike, scooter, or skates, they could be rewarded with a free ice cream coupon from local favorites like Cold Stone, Chupitos, Sweet Spot, Chick-fil-A, Lazy Dog, Morelli's, Village Burger, Super Chix, and more.

Once they get their treat, email a photo of your child and their name to theresa.hernandez@dunwoodyga.gov to be entered into a drawing for a Novo Cocina gift card.

7. Dunwoody 4th of July Parade

It's one of the largest Independence Day parades in Georgia, and it's completely free to attend. On the morning of July 4, grab a spot along Mount Vernon Road and watch floats, bands, local groups, and costumed pups march by.
